Oh and according to his sister, TC 'met a girl'. so apparently when a guy friend tells me 'ya know I'm not really all that interested in dating right now' what they mean is that they have no interest in dating me. they should just come out and fucking tell me that instead

I agree, for the most part. But then, as you stated, you only counted guys you know in the list-of-men-Critt-doesn't-hate and allow for others to join those ranks if they earn it.

If TC is who I think he is, then I think the girl he met is a good friend of mine and I know for a fact that she is not interested in dating anyone at the moment.
