Dr. Atkins is dead!

I'm just sick right now, hearing that Dr. Atkins died of a head injury. I feel this is a real loss to nutrition and medicine ... and it makes me very sorry that he won't live to see the world acknowledge how right he is.

In the meantime, I'd give anything for a nice big milkshake! (Sorry, Doc.)

Marilyn called from work to let me know the news. I was just shocked.

It's a terrible loss to the 'cause' of the protein diet, as the man was so amazing when he spoke and wrote about it.

I felt sick when I heard this. He was an amazing, intelligent and vibrant man.

But I guess it's a good thing he didn't die of complications of high cholesterol or heart disease or something. That would kind of put a crimp in the whole thing, wouldn't it?

(Just proves to all us slugs that no matter how healthy you are, you can still get hit by a truck. So why bother?)
