some ideas:

the sociology of corruption in czech culture (i.e., the effects of communism on society in terms of corruption both on a daily basis and a political level and then post-revolution)

the politics of immigration- I did a 20 page paper on the Vietnamese immigrant community in the Czech Republic- it is also interesting to examine the political situation of the Roma people during World War II and under Communism

Maybe something about Prague spring and the connection/influence of culture (theatre, literature, film) on the politics of the 1960s and also the influence of politics on culture in this decade?

How about state policy vis-a-vis the Romani (Gypsy) minority? All those fun and not-quite-predictable periods of forced assimilation, forced sterilizations of Romani women, limited tolerance for Romani intellectuals and their work, etc. It's certainly one of the "sexiest" topics you could come up with, I guarantee you."

Nice topic, and very sexy indeed. How about to write an essay about the real status quo ( ... )
