I've never kept a diary, and don't intend to start now. IMO, leaving unnecessary "paper trails" is a bad idea.
Rather than take the time to answer, "what have you been up to?", a friend of mine sent me off to read her LJ entries. She'd already covered all that here, so it made sense to save the time, and not miss anything, by doing so. As most

eep! Ok, that sounded bad, but that's exactly what I did, just smack me :P
Truth is, I tend to write a lot more in my lj than I ever would in an IM conversation, so I figured you'd probably get more detail there. Also, I kinda miss it when we lose track of each other, crazy lifestyles and such, so I kinda like that you've got a place where I can comment and leave messages now :P

No need for a smack. It was perfectly legitimate, which is why I phrased it the way I did ... including the part about not missing anything.
I still want to know why you needed to know which sex story to which I was referring to answer the simple question of, "participant or voyeur?"
This reply page is really annoying. All white backgrounds get bothersome when your eyes have gotten accustomed to darker ones. I'll eventually find it myself, but a nudge in the right direction would help.

Mayhap. Smaller groups tend to be more intimate (take that as you will) in their discussions and conversations. The comment is primarily directed towards the future, should I actually find any Communities of interest to me. Odds on I'll find myself in something similar to the BBS discussions with which I am all too familiar, with the usual attention whores, 10 second attention spans, flame wars, et al. The fun part is that the people to whom that is directed will never take the time to read it.
