It's one way, but it's not accurate. For that kind of comment, you'd want to drop the article: simply vollständig in Liebe. Smitten is more like a crush, but without all the negative connotations that crush has. You know how I am with my English; choosing the specific word for the specific context in which I want to use it, weighing the denotations and connotations as I go. I want to be the same way in German, but I'm not even close to being able to split hairs the way I want to in writing, let alone verbally. Hell, I ran into trouble simply using the word Freundin, since it means both girlfriend and female friend.
I'm making progress, but not quite sure I'm progressing where I want to go lol Last week she called me nicht anständig (indecent), when I was simply taking her out to dinner. Last night she told me we were going to play billiards, and I told her I don't know the rules for billiards, but I do know how to play pool.
