As for the liking versus disliking, I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Sense of humor and honesty are important. I tend not to like people who take themselves or other people too seriously, or who carry themselves as though they're smarter than other people (like Oreste and Eric Frederic). And, okay, I guess I do that a little bit, but intelligence isn't an enormous deal.
Pretentiousness and arrogance are what really bug me. I'm also put off by people who are overly concerned with political correctness.
I guess that's it for the most part. As it is, I don't use a checklist when I meet people, so it usually isn't conscious.

I think there is something very special under your random&crazy sense of humor, and that is why so many people treasure your friendship.
