If you're gay, Bush wants you to pretend to be straight. Being gay isn't real. It's like a 24/7 hankering for the same sex that you just came up with to deal with trauma. Cuz, you know, it makes total sense that a traumatized boy would want to have sex with other boys. I can totally see the connection...

Which falls in line with the biological determinism angle that he's going off of... saying men should only have sex with women and women should only have sex with men because that's the only way we make babies. But we're not banning gay sex here, we're banning gay marriage. If Republicans are gonna stick to their guns on this issue, a ban on gay sex will be next, then a ban on porn, then a ban on contraceptives, then a ban on masturbation, then a ban on wearing skirts above the kneecap.
