What are your views on body modification and body suspension?

I'm not into body modification but I find it interesting. I like some of the pics I've seen (the 'corset' is really neat). As for body suspension, it looks painful. But, again, people who do it, intrigue me.

It looks neat. I first saw a pic of one in the tattooed_goths community...this is a pic of the girlie that had it done (well, it's a pic of the corset, you can't see her face)

I have no problems with tattoos as long as you put some thought into them or do I did and drew my own. I have 2 of which I drew my own. I hate the people who just pick one off the wall. even if you can;t draw at least tell the tattoo artist what you would like and they can draw it up for you...never pick anything from the book or off the weall that is gay. As far as piercings and suspension. I;m not a big fan only cuz Og my fear of needles(yes I know tattoos use needles too but thtre not that big..:) )I don;t get suspensions...I;d feel like a fish sitting there with big hooks in my back hanging from cables...doesn;t sound fun to me..but whatever floats your boat..

i completely agree about trying to make up you own tattoo, and take on of the wall. It took me about 2 months to find the right font for my tattoo. i have more pride in my tattoo and i dont think that i will ever grow tired of it.

i think that everyone has reasons to do something or not. i dont agree with girls getting piercings just because they pop princess idols have them. ive been interested in modification since i was about 10 or 11...and ive wanted to pierce and modify since i was about 14...in april im starting my apprenticeship to pierce where i can get my license to practice wherever i wish.
i do agree with the person who said that if you get a tattoo make sure its something you want not just something off the wall. i took in a drawing of mine and thats the tat i have now.
as far as body suspension...im doing that soon. on my birthday this year my friend and i are doing a flesh pull together. which is in some ways like body suspension because of the hooks in the back except your attached to someone else and you pull away from each other.
i think if someone does anything though...they should want it...not because its "cool" to everyone else.
