I'm aware that this doesn't get seen by many on the folk scene, but for those of you that do lurk and who don't already know, Teresa died on Saturday morning. I don't have any details on funeral arrangements etc yet but the Mudcat thread (here) is probably the best place to keep up to date.
Reports from Carole are that she was taken into hospital on the 1st with pneumonia and died around 6am on Saturday morning. I'm not certain if/to what extent the MND complicated things
For those that didn't know her, she was no taller than my shoulder but could out sing an accordian at 20 paces. It's largely her fault that I get off my arse and sing occasionally, as opposed to just joining in other people's choruses. She broke the rule of 'there are no female shanty singers' but thats not all she could do as she often proved. Cruely, she lost her voice to MND a year or so ago and from that point on her condition only deteriorated.
Rest in peace now old friend.
