Spring is in the air (or: not Disgusting Word of the Day, pt 21)

A couple of weeks back, when the snow still covered the ground, I struck my first Februrary-Swede pose of the year. For those of you who have never been to Sweden in February, or are new to the country, when the sun shines brightly from the sky you can see people standing about, leaning against walls, fences, or just standing there, eyes closed,

Err, I wash my face and stuff. That is how frivoulous I manage to be at six thirty.

I do like that you managed to get the word "tussock" in there. That's not used nearly often enough, that word.

I looked for a translation of 'tuva' on Folkets lexikon and had to decide between tussock and tuft. Since I already knew tuft, I looked tussock up on Merriam-Webster's. It did not seem to be any difference between the two words so I thought 'why not use a new word?' That was what this journal was supposed to help me with, anyway.
I feel a bit like Jeff in Coupling when i stress it: [TUSSOCK tuss-ock tussock] Only he said 'gusset'.
