ode to my usb drive
i know i'm an absolute freak for doing this, but since i got a new usb drive for christmas this year, i'd like to give a tribute to my old usb drive. you have served me well.
i remember when i first got it. grade 9, boxing day (or it may have been the 27th...i cant' really remember). i was supposed to meet betty for a movie but i got there early so i went into the computer store and saw it. after the movie, i went back and bought the usb drive (it was only $25). throughout the years, i've used it for homework, presentations, to show lauren that floppy disks were obsolete... when i put on the coloured caps, it was just so pretty. i remember only two days ago, i was looking at the usb drive (btw, it was at 2 am...i was a bit tired and that's why i was pondering upon my usb drive). i mean, technology moves fast. when i got my computer, i thought it was great...now, i think it's a piece of crap. my cell phone was cool when i got it half a year ago...now, it's just meh. but my usb drive, it was cool when i got it 3 years ago and now, i still think it's cool. *sob* i'm gonna miss you.
on a more normal note, it's christmas break! i'm still sick...throat infection. lots of coughing now. midnight mass was alright. i saw lauren but i don't think she saw me. lots of chocolate, not that i'm complaining ;) thank you to everyone for their presents. and thanks to vivian for that glittering stuff...even though i was never into the whole make-up/body art thing, the glitter somehow makes me feel happier. i have no idea why. maybe it's the scent.
does anyone want to go bowling? or if you have another idea, want to do that instead? i want to get out sometime during the break.
