I want to move abroad.
Yes, move.
And work.
I'd really appreciate your ideas or help to get me started.
Creative, media, game development is the shit I'm into.
English. Bit of French (can brush that up to intermediate).
Thinking about taking up German or Swedish.
Tips, hints?

Eva! :) :*** Long time no hear! (Tho' I'm regularly checking up on your LJ to see what happens :)) Umm, how easy is it to get to Stockholm and live the first year not understanding Swedish, only English? Is that crappy money to make a reasonable living or is crappy money crappy everywhere? Got any ideas where to start or should I just start googling around? *hugs*

I will check up on DICE and all the others I gonna find - I have some concepts to realize but I guess it takes more than a miracle to hire me from a godforsaken country, being completely unknown, with some weird game concepts to make - and all this for money.

Pondering and thinking and trying to make up my mind.

just get your arse over here and see what happens. may be able to help you out with a crappy helpdesk job while you find your feet and decide what you'd rather be doing. the 'straight in the deep end' approach has always worked for me;)

You're far too kind, mate :) Here is London, I guess.. helpdesk jobs.. do these pay well or at least good enough to find food and a room to crash in? What about, like, job permits and taxes?

the pay is above minimum wage, and on average i've been living off less so far. az an eu citizen, you don't need a job permit, only an eu workers registration (£50) for one year, then do what you like. stay another year and you can even start claiming benefits. taxes are automatically deducted from your pay, and you can claim most of it back.
