Yes, so I've gathered. But I keep hearing that there is no way out, no way back. I'm old enough to not hold many illusions about my situation.

In my way, I'm trying to make the best of it.

If there is a way back, then none of us can use it ourselves, it seems. I am thinking the scientists decided that those people were no longer useful to whatever experiment is going on here.
