I love those two. And I love how protective they are of each other. It makes me grin really big.

This is an awesome story. I love the way you write- I'm sure I've told you that before, but I really mean it.

Favorite line: His hands are immediately on me, stroking up and down my back, and smoothing out muscle in that uniquely Hunter rhythm. My leg slides over his, more of a desire to be closer to him than anything else, and he sighs out a reply into my hair.

So unbelievably adorable. And I so wish I had a picture of that.

Yeay for random flist reading!

Hunter is the most ridiculously overprotective person I've ever seen while in the ring. You don't see Sabu going slightly ballistic when someone works stiff with Rob. You don't see the Highlanders constantly hugging and touching each other. You don't find the Dudley Boys sneaking looks at each other when they think the other one's back is turned. It's just Hunter and Shawn.

Mm, that's definitely one of my favorite images - not my very favorite, though. That would be the two of them stretched out side-by-side, tangled sheets all over the place, and Hunter tapping Shawn's head. Playful and sweet, but still smartass.

I know I've read the fic over a few times when I was betaing it but I still love it as much as the first time around. You caught the dynamic between them and the bond they have so well - and at the same time, like Sarah said, it's f'ing HOT. :)

I suppose now it's my turn to blush. :) At least I'm actually working a little on my new story most days now. I think this is the first time I'm writing some sort of an outline even. lol.
By the way, if you really wanna read some more of my stuff, I can link you to some old "Angel" fics that I wrote what seems like forever ago. Some of those are *really* bad but I'm quite proud of the last few ones. *L* I should also have the start of a Hunt/OC story floating somewhere on LJ still, as well as the first piece of a Shawn/Hunt series that I never continued to type up. Very very nice. I'm a big fan of your opener and agree with others' comments about catching the protective nature of their relationship. The sequences where Shawn is remembering past matches is very well done. I can't wait for more!! I'm thinking of starting some S/H fic and would love your input! =^)

Thank you muchly! I'm glad you liked the inserts about the past matches. IIRC, they weren't in the original version. I knew the story was missing a little something right near the end, and I believe it was my beta darlakane who mentioned that a little musing about the original Hell in a Cell could work.

New writers are always a great thing - especially when they're Shawn/Hunter fans! If you ever need a second eye for a story, you know where to find me.
