I'm late but I finally got around to properly reading this... And really, it was beautiful - and sounded so very real. It's a nice change from the "Shawn's always been perfect" picture that's drawn in most fics. I also enjoyed how Hunter so desperately wanted to believe him, even though deep down he knew he had no reason to do so...

Really? I haven't noticed that, actually. And it kind of confuses me, because Shawn is SO far from perfect. The man himself admits he was a jerk, at best, and I really can't see a way of whitewashing that very well.

I probably should've elaborated the perfect comment a little. Yeah, he does have his flaws in a lot of fics - but IMO it's very rare that he's portrayed as the real jerk he probably was, and you can probably count the fics that even mentioned his problems with pills and such on one hand. So I still definitely think yours stands out in a very positive way already in that matter. :)
