yuletide IS HERE!!!

Actually, it's been here since Christmas, but I've kind of fallen into the archive and couldn't find my way back out. God, there were some brilliant and amazing stories this year, and I am so in love with all the people who have been reviewing my two contributions.

So here, have some recs:

28 recs in 26 fandoms )

fangirling liek whoa, yuletide, recs, fandom

Okay, man. I wish we had more similar tastes, because you sure can write some recs! Somebody should point to this post as an example of How It's Done When It's Done Well. *g*

Awww, sorry my post didn't help you in the recs department. But thank you! I write the recs that I wish I could read - not just that it's a recommended story, but WHY the reccer liked it.

I would definitely have missed this Bond story without you, and it works BEAUTIFULLY.

Ooh, I'm glad you took a chance on it. It's so rare to find good Bond fic in general, and Bond slash is just unheard of.

I saw the Carnivale Ben one and thought it was great too.

Really made me wish I had asked for one of your stories from our beloved missed show. *sigh* I like how the author made Ben realistic and your observation of his obsession with Sofie made more sense to me this time around. Really parallas with J/I there too. :-)

You should SO do Yuletide, Dana. It's fifteen kinds of fun, and you get such great stories in fandoms that don't have too much love.

And awww, I'm glad you liked the rec.

Heee, definitely worth diving into.

And actually, House isn't an acceptable fandom for Yuletide - has FAR too many stories written. Yuletide is set aside for fandoms that have no organized archive and very small amounts of fic written for them. That's what's so great about it - you'd never have any of these stories written without it!

Thanks so much for reading my Yuletide Blues Brothers story and leaving a comment on it! And for recommending it here! Honestly, that made my day! Your review is, honestly, better than the fic itself, methinks. Thanks ( ... )

Omigawd, I absolutely loved that story you wrote last year! It was such a great surprise to wake up on Christmas, go online, and get this brilliant little snippet of two of my most favorite characters ever. And this year, I think you've topped yourself on your Elwood-voice. In case it's not apparent from my flailing, Elwood really is my favorite character.

*takes credit and twirls* Yay, more BB fic for me.

Not to toot my own horn, but I wrote a bit of BB fic myself, at the urging of swirl_girlx and mack_and_mabel. It's on my journal, over here: A Hundred and Six Miles.

Oh, wow. BBCentral! I haven't been there in ages, but I'll definitely have to pop back in!

Ok, so with the brothers on the brain lately, I am taking an informal poll of BB fanfic readers...

BB Mary Sue? Thumbs up? Thumbs down? Dependant?
