Taking thre days off is a great thing, but not if you are the department manager. There are first 10 voicemails, then there are 30 e-mails and everyone wants an answer today. Besides that there is all the rest of the usual daily work, so in short all this makes for a long stressful day. At least I can sleep in tomorrow since I don't work til 2PM. ( Read more... )

2 company x-mas parties down one more to go. Just got home from the x-mas party for the managers at the hotel I work. We actually just went for Happy Hour this time to exchange presents (every one had picked a name previously and was to buy a gift for $20) so I got a box of Slim Jims which I always eat at work and a gift certificate for groceries ( Read more... )

I am so not motivated to do anything today. It's my last of 3 days off and I could do quite a few things, but I am still lying in bed watching TV and reading through all kinds of stuff on the web. So everytime you turn on the news Saddam is smiling at you and if it's not him it's GW. Don't get me wrong it's nice that they caught Saddam, but we got to move on. We can't just celebrate this there is so much other crap going on. The situation in Iraq is far from resolved, oh and I don't want to start on Afghanistan.
