What you percieve is YOUR reality.
Expectancy bias~ if you go into some situation thinking that a certain outcome will result, than chances are, it will. IF YOU LOOK FOR IT HARD ENOUGH YOU WILL BE ABLE TO FIND IT. Or at least skew reality so that you percieve it happen, whether it really did or not.

If you go into something expecting something to go wrong, something will go wrong. If you go into a relationship expecting someone to cheat on you, for example, whether they actually do or not, if you think it does, that's your reality. You can convince yourself of anything if you have the motivation to do so.
We only see what we want to see

Maybe we should start taking things for what they are? Get rid of pessimistic expectations.

If I expect myself to be unfulfilled, that's what's going to happen.
