He is a vampire and aside from something like the gem of Amara there is no chance that he will ever be able to walk into the sun and feel its warmth on him. That's what he used to think. Now... Spike knows better, he's even been tempted a few times to send Riley a thank you card but it isn't his way. After all if it hadn't been for the chip in his head his life would have been different. He might never see the sun again but when Xander smiles at him it doesn't seem to matter any more.
