1. What did you do in 2009 that you’d never done before?
REAL SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH (or at least the collecting and processing of the samples
2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I can't remember what my resolution was last year, so I uhh... might've kept it? I will be resolving to be a better student next semester, not just fo New Year's sake, but for necessity's sake

5. What countries did you visit?
Visited the States (quite) a few times
6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
A biology degree, and perhaps more importantly, a biology job to go with it =P
7. What dates from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
As with Renard, I'm going to say MAGFest and AnthroCon, because at those were monumental times for both intrapersonal and community-level positivity.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
That would have to be when I got 60G for beating Braid 8D
More abstractly, I've managed to impress myself on numerous occasions with my ability to socialize with unfamiliar people in unfamiliar territories
9. What was your biggest failure?
This semester in general
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
TMI TMI TMI: Hemmorhoids + bad cough = horrible ruptures

11. What was the best thing you bought?
A couple things that go together: My hardcover copy of The Handmaid's Tale which I got signed by Margaret Atwood, and the The Handmaid's Tale themed commission I got from Arphalia, which she fashioned into a bookmark for my book.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
A thousand thanks go to my roommate Jed, for being a very helpful and enthusiastic research assistant. Also kudos to Renard for his continued success in the music and now design industry, and his generally remarkable capacity for friendship
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
GHDA managed to get under my skin with the whole dramatic episode he instigated, but the emotions were quite temporary. Also, another certain someone who was a very volatile commissioner, and not very pleasant company either.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Food, books, and CONS
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Starting to get really excited about MAGFest, and some other travel opportunities which will manifest next year

b) thinner or fatter? probably thinner (I haven't been eating properly this semester)
c) richer or poorer? financially, I'm in the same position, but I'm richer personally and relationally

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I'll be spending Christmas Days with my family, New Year's days with friends at MAGFest, and the time in-between with "hometown friends" I don't get to see very often

Romantically, no. I did, however, fall in love with the literary facet of Margaret Atwood

The mere thought of this happening makes me chuckle

I don't watch much contemporary television, so I'm gonna say Futurama, and old seasons of the Simpsons .

Either The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, or Ishmael by Daniel Quinn

I think it was Owl City that helped me through the roughest patches

An expanded network of local friends (furry and non-furry alike)

A few new t-shirts, a new sexy pair of jeans, and the same sweaters I've had for years. Also a little bit more coordination and augmentation of my rave outfits

Without giving it too much thought, I'm gonna say Neil Patrick Harris

I'm going to cop out and say the fictional political issues portrayed in Thousand Leaves by Kevin Frane

I'm gonna say Lee, because I've barely seen her or talked to her this semester

My co-supervisor, Dr. Harvey, for being extremely remarkable professionally and personally.
