After being submerged in Tumblr this past week, I've discovered that Rose fans really don't like any other companions. Just Rose. (Erm, sarcasm here.)

So how about commenting with the non-Rose companions you like, and why!

Seriously, I pretty much like all the companions. My second favorite after Rose is probably Donna.

And I even ship the Doctor with other people besides Rose. I mean, I like to think that a long lived individual such as himself would move on and not pine after her and be miserable for the rest of his life. So, I'm fine with Doctor/River. (I just wish they'd handled her storyline/timeline better, because WOW, WHAT A MESS)

I'm not as familiar with Classic companions but from what I've seen, Sarah Jane rocks, of course. And I sort of ship Doctor/Romana.

Isn't the collective age on Tumblr 14, though? I know some adults use it, but it strikes me as mostly younger kids. I mean at 14 I doubt I would have thought Nine so sexy and his darkness and angst attractive and I probably would have thought Donna was some old lady my Mom's age who liked to yell a lot and I got that enough from my Mom. So...I can see why the love isn't there. It's a question of age or maturity, probably

This comment is the best thing ever. Especially:

I like Amy's brashness and how she just sort of bulldozes forward. I like her heart even though she hides it a lot. I really would have loved to see her with Ten. Oh, and her hair is the most amazing companion hair ever. I wish she were a bit more faithful to Rory in the beginning, but I think she overcomes that well through his steadfastness.

I really do like Amy, but it's hard for me to quantify what I like about her as opposed to the other companions. This sums it up beautifully.

Tumblr has pretties all over it, but the people who hate companions drive me nuts!!!

Nine is brilliant and fantastic and awesome and if you skip his season you should be thumped on the head with a book!

I love Martha, she's briliant, strong and smart and puts up with Ten for sooooo much longer than he deserves!

Donna is like the older sister the Doctor needed to slap some sense into him on frequent occasions AND the comedic chemistry was just AWESOME!

Jack! Jack is just Jack, how can you not love Jack?? Isn't there a law against disliking Jack?

I freely admit I didn't like Mickey at first, but he grows and develops (I know Moffat fans might not understand that... j/king, kinda) brilliantly and he's fantastic when he grows up a bit!

I'm not a huge Amy fan but I don't hate her, I just want some real (lasting) character development. Rory is kind of adorable and I like him.

Since I like all the companions, I'm going to write just a sentence on each:

MARTHA because she gives so much, and learns when to choose herself first. Because she's tough and quietly competent, and walked the Earth for a year.

DONNA because she finds an adventure she wants, and never looks back. Because she can bring Ten to his senses with a barb or a slap. (People hate Donna? DDD: )

JACK because he is so unabashedly, unashamedly himself, and when he sees a problem -- e.g. Torchwood -- he doesn't just complain. He actually goes in and does something about it.

I do like Amy and Rory and River as well, but I can't put it into words as well, so I'll stop there.
