It seems some people don't like the idea of the Doctor and Rose taking care of/raising children due to the lifestyle.

But how about pets? Can they have a pet? :D

Would the Doctor and Rose battle it out between a dog and a cat? Would a hedgehog win? And would it come with them on adventures?

(Maybe they could get a van and a talking dog...)

It needs a bit of fake fur or something. It's hard to cuddle metal. :D

BUT THEY ALREADY HAVE THE TARDIS AND TONY, WHAT DO THEY NEED A PET FOR?

Tony and TARDIS would run away together in jealousy.

Definitely a cat. I see so many references to how the Doctor doesn't like cats. But... he is completely fine with cats. It was only shortly after New New Earth that he'd gone off them a bit. By Third Season with Martha, he was independently picking up kittens, cuddling and looking at them fondly (see "Gridlock"). He also really took to Flannigan, the cat father. Back to normal.

Besides, the Doctor would appreciate the cat's independent and mysterious nature. I'm sure he'd come up with all sorts of Time Lordy points of admiration and babble on about how they are superior beings.

:D
