Sorry guys, I’m really bad at keeping up with my flist, thus the lack of comments. I just haven’t gotten into the habit yet. I tried to catch up today, but since there are so many comm posts (JPFans, dailycuoco, m_m, etc.) I was just like, eh. I think I’ll end up unwatching the comms since I usually go to the page to check them anyway

True, that's why I'm not mega-upset about it, just recognize it as a flaw. That little thing set up a few good jokes, so, whatever!

I enjoyed the episode. I think there have been better ones this season, but I did enjoy it on the whole and I haven't got a lot to bitch-meta about it! There wasn't an abundance of L/P, and what we did get was tolerable, and/or didn't show them in a positive light. Sheldon was laughed WITH, not AT. It seems TBBT has a huge fondness of the "Rule of Funny" - they will sacrifice character development/continuity/pretty much everything for the funny joke, and I get that they are a sitcom so funny is what they do, but sometimes it gets on my nerves a bit that they can't be funny AND consistent.
I didn't notice that about the paychecks until someone pointed it out on Paradox. AND I USED TO WORK IN A BANK. But then again, having lived in different countries I've found that what I know from NZ and the UK doesn't always apply to the US. But yeah, generally a cheque (tehehe, spelling) goes "stale" (official term, no joke) after 6 months.

Exactly, this is my biggest problem. People don't always have to LOL after every line, and a little consistency or character development/sweet but not lolarious moments go a long way in making people care for and having loyalty to the show. For example, in this last episode, when Sheldon knocked at the door and Penny completed the knock, it was originally written as Sheldon saying, "Well, I suppose that works." There was laughter at that, but bigger laughter at, "Now that's just wrong." I guess I'm just looking at the first one from a shipper's standpoint, but that's a tiny sign that he's willing to let people into the neurotic mania that is the structure of his life.
But I suppose it says something that it WAS originally written that way,

It's similar, to me, as in TLHC when he tells her to get the lights & she refuses. It's the kind of moment that ONLY works for S/P and wouldn't make sense for Sheldon and any other character on the show.
And it makes me go: ♥

I love these two. I think we've only ever seen Penny interrupt a knock.
ACTUALLY. Remember in TME when she interrupted the knock to start the knocking war and he got so pissed off? With this one he only whined a little, hee! <3

See, I totally just focus on the dollar amount. But yeah Sheldon would probably cash them and stick the money up Green Lantern's ass like he did in S2.
it shows how much she cares for Sheldon, in that she TOTALLY DIDN'T THINK it through.
That's what I meant--mishandled in that she put absolutely no thought into it and made some pretty, um, not helpful ("well he was in jail earlier!") comments, lol. But you could totally tell she got the address, went to Sheldon's and was like get your ass in your car, we're going to see Stan Lee, and that was it.
Finally, I don't understand the logic. Why should Penny be apologetic at all? HE was driving. Sure, SHE needed to go to the hospital, but they're friends. HE expects his friends to ditch a signing to go with him to court over a traffic ticket, but driving Penny to the ER is OMG, a sacrifice? (I get that with Sheldon, it is, but still.)Lol, I was trying to be careful with this so I wasn't looking like I was trying ( ... )

I KNOW. OMG. When I was at the taping and they started setting up the comic book store, I looked at it and I was like fuck, Penny's gonna get him to meet Stan Lee. WHY IS SHE SO AWESOME.
(That, and she looked so hot in her Law and Order outfit.)
The two of them in suits can take over the world if they're so inclined. Even with the plaid/polka dotted tie/bowler's shoes on Sheldon's end.

But the only real thing I had an issue with was what an utter and complete ass that Howard was. Other than that? I liked it, and that's just based one one watch. A rewatch generally makes me like it more! :)
