mookie i agree with you about the anti-americanism but i still maintain that in this case it is a reason

im assumimg that even if the missle defense plan is not necessary it is still better for canada to sign on and support the americans

it is a cold war relic in a lot of ways but if it can be make to be effective (and im not sure it can) it does still have bearing in todays world

i agree that that is no reason to agree with something. I just dont think that it is being thought about on that level.

It seems the liberals are just swaying to public pressure and trying the make the decision that will win them the next election.

And while we dont know how much influence we will have at the table we know exactly how much influence we will have away from it.

I'm not saying we should follow the americans blindly, but i honestly think that we should stand by them on something like missle defense
