ROUND 2: Claims Info
The art prompts should be up for previewing shortly. The post will be members-locked, so you'll have to login and join the community to see them.
Claims will open tomorrow at around 12PM CST. To convert that to your time zone, go here.
HOW IT WILL WORK:
When claims open, authors will comment with their top 3 choices. A mod will reply to let you know which piece you get, and the piece will be crossed out. You'll notice the prompts have letters this year, and that's to help keep track of which artist has an author already. For example, Z50 & Z51 would both be by the same artist. If one of Z's prompts is claimed, their second prompt will be highlighted red, meaning it is not available to claim until we open the final "optional" round. That optional round will not happen, however, if any artist goes unclaimed. This is to (hopefully) ensure every artist who is participating gets at least one story.
In the first round of claims authors will only be allowed to claim one piece of art. Claims will be first come, first served. If, after two days, any art is unclaimed, we'll open up a second round of claims, wherein authors may claim a second piece to write for. Since we have more art prompts than authors, it is unlikely that multiple claims will be necessary (i.e. allowing two or more authors to write for the same piece of art). In the event that we get a sudden influx of sign-ups, however, multiple claims will not be allowed until all prompts have been claimed at least once.
Please don't edit comments. If all your choices are gone and you need to select three more, do it in a brand new comment.
Please make sure you are signed up as an author before making a claim.
There's no guarantee that you'll get the art you want, which can be disappointing, but please consider the feelings of artists who might be following the post. Rude or inappropriate comments may be frozen or screened.
