Awwwwwwwww! This is incredible honey! It's so hot, and full of passion and desperation and need and honestly one of the best Ted/Barney fics I think I've ever read! I particularly like the ned where Ted writers the B into the plaster, and also Barney completely freaking out about Ted moving away and de-broing him by default.

Whoa, thank you!!! Yes, please feel free to rec away! I really wasn't sure about a lot of this fic, especially the ending (and the fact that it's so long and rambling and talky, like lol what), but I'm so glad it all worked for you. You were my Barney-spiration for this, you know! :)

Either way, I'd hope it's not bad for the first solo HIMYM fic I've written in almost two years (since the RP started... which was exactly two years and one day ago. Sigh!).

I agree, there's something about broken!vulnerable!Barney and sexually!aggressive!Ted that works so well together. Because a Barney with all his walls taken down, as they were after he met Jerry, is a Barney that just needs to be held. And Ted likes to hold things. Or something! ;)

And I've never seen that episode of Friends (or any episode, because I'm a horrible person) but that's funny that there's that coincidence! And man, something about your comment makes me realize just how much there really is going on in this fic. No wonder it went on forever!

This works in all sorts of ways--Ted being broken down by the empty house and the prospect of the future, Barney broken down by the past and the disappointment of his real father (don't know the canon here, just guessing). OF COURSE this means they have sex.

I like the fact that it's Ted who initiates, and that you show every gritty, kinky aspect of the sexual act and don't shy away from any of it. Very hot.

There are also some great lines in here, so it works in a writing way too. "Fighter-pilot-slash-rock-star" is what everyone wants their dad to be, amirite?

But I love the gentleness of their conversation at the start, and the need from both of them, and argh. Not being very articulate here, but, basically, great job, especially since you haven't written fic in a while. And don't worry about the first attempt at solo porn. It was really good. ;)
