Japanese ska band Ore Ska Band. Damn that's pretty good, too! My only complaint is that none of the crowd members were skanking, and that's such an integral part of *any* ska show. Someone needs to go over and teach the japanese how to skank. Volunteers, anyone?

In this context, skanking is a kind of dance that one does to ska music. Wikipedia has a decent article here. There's also a pretty good tutorial on how to skank linked there.

They are pretty okay, looking at their stuff. More on the punk side of ska, kind of like Reel Big Fish or the Hippos, but pretty okay otherwise. It would help if I could understand the singing. Them being girls doesn't seem to match for vocal range -- I'm used to ska bands having mostly guy singers, I guess.

I think it's hilarious -- and awesome -- that the trombonist is called "Leader". :D

Yeah, the whole japanese thing kinda got in the way, but I've listened to enough J-pop it doesn't really bother me anymore. I actually rather liked the fact they're an all-girl ska band. I've heard some really decent female ska singers(Save Ferris' Monique Powell, anyone?), and I like seeing more females in ska, cos IMO it seems to be rather male dominated, at least band wise.
