After he'd left the morgue that night and made it home, made it through the messages on his machine, and he hit the one from Renee and paused. Debated. Grabbed his phone, dialed her home number, and stood in front of the windows of his apartment to look at the city below.
He wasn't sure why he was calling her, but he wasn't about to bother Jordan at the moment, not after what was going on with Woody. A sigh as he heard her pick up.
"I've been better." He commented dryly, rubbing the back of his neck as he watched the lights flicker below. "I figured I might as well tell you what's up before you hear it at work tomorrow. Prepare you for...damage control."
