1. I think I've finally realized that I eat entirely too much Chinese food. Dicky and I went yesterday and the lady working said in less than perfect English, "You want regular?" I said yes and sure enough I got my order five minutes later

We talked about Palahniuk in my 210 class last semester. I looked Guts up online after that class. I don't think I read it all...

ahhh... i read that a couple months ago. I couldn't get through it without gagging... and haven't been able to eat calamari since...ugh.

Chuck Palahniuk... I actaully read the book that "Guts" was printed in back in about October... I had no idea that he was such an important author, I just happened to grab it off the shelf in the library (I do this a lot). "Guts" was the first story in the book and by the end I had no idea whether to laugh my head off or be sick. The problem: I began laughing just after the first section of the story, and I was sitting in the car with my Mum... she naturally ask what I was laughing at, and I was at a bit of a loss as to what to tell her...
Truthfully, I really don't remember much more of the book (I remember one story about a woman who gives people orgasms by manipulating their feet..., but this story has stuck out in my mind ever since. My boyfriend at the time had a pool, and I was so freaked out that I would get pregnant from swimming in it- which reflects pretty weirdly on him, now that I think about it- but, yeaahhhh... Very interesting. I always enjoy finding out that other people have read the same things as me.
