If you were happy every day of your life, you wouldn’t be a human. You’d be a game show host.

I'm finally done for the semester (and hopefully, the degree) but am feeling wrung out. Have been sick for literally a month which hasn't helped. I don't know what's going on there - I think it was possibly the flu followed by three or four successive colds, so nothing serious, but always just a little under par with some spectacular coughing fits ( Read more... )

But then you'd be busy with The Price is Right and we'd never see you! :)

even his GPS keeps telling him it can't understand his mangled pronunciation.

boy can I ever relate to that! mandarin is hard.

I support a Heathers rewatch. that movie has aged very well.

Hee - yes, but I think much less so for a Cantonese speaker. Getting the accent right is a different thing, though.

Excellent! I notice it's on youtube too, even better...

Yaaay for being done! But God, no wonder you're feeling wrung out if you're STILL coughing :/ *sends a hug*

And I did like High-rise a whole lot, I could easily watch it several times I think. I do agree on the story having gaping plot holes, but I enjoyed it loads anyway.

Glad you managed to keep from coughing during all of that, but *eyes your lungs* time to give it a rest now! I hope you'll be better soon! <3

LOL, thank you. I haven't been that flat-out ill for a few years, so it was probably overdue.

I can see why people attuned to visual aesthetics would love it - you could probably study it frame by frame and enjoy it just from that point of view. I really do love that brutalist concrete look, and there was *cough* certainly plenty of TH on display, in all senses, but the trailer probably summed everything up nicely enough for me *g*

Philip Quast! Philip Quast! Philip Quast! Oh how I envy you. So glad to hear that he can still put on a great show.

And I really hope you feel better soon.

Aww, I'm grateful someone else understands the joy of Quast ;)

And thank you! I hope you are doing okay yourself :)

Ugh, being sick at the end of the semester is no fun, especially when it drags like your illness has. But big congratulations on having finished out the year, and hopefully(?) the degree! What's next for you?

Ten Years and Under the Sun both sound very interesting. I have fond memories of sneaking out of the lab to go to the International Film Festival when I was living in Seattle.

Thanks, and I have no idea - or rather, I have ever-shifting ideas, lol. I may need to concentrate on matters closer to home, though :)

It's always good to have a chance to see something a bit different - there's just a whole world of film that I just don't even think about until it comes to town...
