We still have white adults here who would do that to a non-white child, believe me. And not just the elderly conditioned ones.

Oh no, I’m white. But all you have to do is watch Klan rallies and protests footage. Any motherfucker who would plow a car or fire a gun into a crowd has no compunction about harming a child in any fashion.

I did think you were white - I meant that you were more likely to personally know or know of such people. We certainly have racism here, but it seems to be a lot less overt. Anyway, I would hope they wouldn't "gang up" on a child the way they did back then, but it's true that white supremacists do show a certain disregard for black lives in general so maybe society hasn't really evolved that far, after all.
