I was curious if the calender on these devices is similar to that of anyone's home--in length or naming scheme. It seems so short.

[A puzzled look at the PCD before a brilliant smile.]

Regardless, what is everyone's favorite thing at the carnival? It seems like there's so much to do an see, it's impossible to know where to begin each day.

not in auldrant anymore, party hardy, your calender is weird

Short? [Not getting it.]

The carnival's like-- there's loads, but I reckon if ya just like... wander around a lot you could see everythin', dattebayo.

The months are only thirty days or so. [And the names are all odd.]

I see! I shall wander around as much as possible. [Taking Naruto's advice seriously! He doesn't want to miss anything!]

... Oh. I guess they could be kinda weird. [Apparently it doesn't seem to matter to Naruto.]

Ah! Yeah, yeah you should, dattebayo! Oh! Don't play the game with the-- cup thingies though. That guy's a cheater.

I just wondered if it was typical.

Oh! I will be cautious. [Curious pause.] What is "dattebayo"?

It is rather odd, isn't it? The Calender.

I don't mind the games, even though some of them are rigged. They're still fun though.

Yes. What is your own calender like?

Rigged? What is the point, then?

It's based off the phases of the moon.

I'm not sure, but there are a few where you can win things. I won a big stuffed bear.

How long is a lunar cycle in your world?

Oh! That sounds like fun! [Ion is now determined to win a big stuffed bear.] Which were those?

It appears to use the Gregorian calendar, which is the calendar standard in my world. However there are many others still used alongside it.

Is the one used in your world different?

Gregorian. I see. I've never heard of such a thing. But perhaps it was the standard for this world as well.

Yes. The calender in Auldrant is longer, and the days and months follow the Fonic naming scheme.

I haven't heard of the one you use, either. Is your planet an Earth equivalent, or different entirely? A planet with a different orbit and distance from the supporting star would need it's own type of calendar, for many reasons.

[Shaking his head.] No, my world is called Auldrant. That would explain it. What is Earth like?

The calendar used here is the same in my world - but you're correct, there may be other versions of the calendar possible. I wonder why the PCDs use this specific calendar? I hadn't thought of it before...

Perhaps this calender is native to this world?

I suppose, but then it begs the question of how that came to be. And it's odd that this one was chosen out of so many...

[...Look what you did Ion you gave Kurapica another thing to investigate when he has too many already. :|]

I wonder if there are very many to choose from. It seems more common than not.

It's more or less the same as the calendar from my home world. It seems to work out well, really. At least I know when my birthday is.

I think... that the midway games are my favorite part. They're so much fun!

Oh yes, that is good! It's almost half the length of my own world's calender, so I think calculating the correspondence of days shouldn't be too hard.

Which games are your favorite?

Really? So one month in your world is equivalent to two months in mine. That's interesting...

The shooting gallery was my favorite, I think! Oh, and the Ferris wheel is nice, too.

Roughly. A year in Auldrant is over 700 days, but we have the same number of lunar cycles, so the months are longer. It is a little disconcerting to feel as if time is slipping by so quickly.

I shall have to try them both!
