I worked 9.5 hours today. And it rained. Despite that we were rather busy. And yet not. So we played lots of chess. I hate chess. Darin keeps asking me to play, thinking one of these times I'll get better, but I don't. I suck

That chess gag is really priceless. I wish more of my friends played chess so that I might actually be able to replicate it. I also wish that when things got slow here that I was allowed to do something as entertaining as play chess. But here in the Army we have to deny that there are ever times in which it's all but impossible to be productive. So we all sit around pretending to work and try really hard not to catch anyone else pretending to work.

Yeah, I guess thats one of the many reasons I would never survive in the military. We are all about un-productivity. At least when Herbie isn't here.
