I don't know why the seagull story makes me laugh, but it does. I am envious of this trip. I am so glad you went and had a great time. =)

I live near the ocean, and yes - seagulls are scary and will take your head off without a blink if they think you have food.

OMG - K-9!!!!!!!
*squeeeeeee*

It all looks so beautiful. I was wondering what the fascination with going here was, but it's all so lovely - who cares? The chalk horses you were talking about in your last post - I've read some about them, did you get any pictures.

What a beautiful country.

Basically, I got inspired to write "Penzance" due to the Patrick Wolf song of the same name, and when I was doing research on the town I sort of became obsessed with it and the area and decided I NEEDED to go there the next time I went to England. So...there I was. It was weird to see a place that I'd lived in in my head for about a year now, and to find out that some things I'd just put in on faith actually existed, like benches on the promenade.

I tried in vain to get a pic of the chalk horse - the train was just moving too fast. It really is incredibly pretty countryside though.

I haven't started Penzance yet - so I'm looking forward to it. If I try to follow more than about five separate fics at one time, my head explodes. Cause shove into there they I have writing of my own to work on (novel and now a short story), plus read for the magazine, and we're talking a woman on the edge of a breakdown.

So, when do we get more boyband, eh?

Will there be inbetween? Little vignettes from the years between? Yes, I'm going to harrass you about boyband. :)

Hee. No problem. "Penzance" still has a ways to go before it's done, so you have time.

Boyband will be...soonish? I was writing bits of it on the plane. I'm not sure how many flashbacks there will be to the past decade, though I imagine there will be one or two more. Boyband!fic is now going to be three parts - there's a sequel to the sequel, an epilogue, and then at least a couple of one-offs to come.

I now officially HATE seagulls. I didn't really freak out at the time but it sort of hit me a few days later that I could easily have lost a finger or an eye or whatever *shudders*. I hope I never again feel big claws on my head again, it's not pleasant.

Moving on... FUDGE!!!! Double Death!!! And awwwww I'd forgotten about the sheep *cuddles it*

I loved that Dr. Who exhibition so much, especially the Dalek. I always wanted to see one! EXTERMINATE! (we should've taken it with us, I'm sure that would've scared off the seagulls!)

She's EXTREMELY afraid of birds. I texted her the next day - "Attacked by seagull in St. Ives. Thought of you."
