Call me an idiot, but until ten minutes ago I didn't know plastic bottles shrunk when you poured hot water into them. At first I used to think that my plastic waterbottles (just the nomal plastic bottles you get in the store) were getting pretty banged up, until I just saw the thing literally shrink. What do you mean?

If you boiled carbonated drinks it would probably have the same effect. I'm not sure if something like a coke bottle would work, because it's usually sturdier. I just used one of those cheap brand bottles of water at a grocery store, and I poured just-boiled water into it.

I was thinking that maybe-- since carbonated drinks seems to contain a good bit of pressure, especially when you shake them up-- maybe it won't allow the plastic to shrink or something, but when I think about it, usually when soda gets hot it goes bland, so..
