The "Southwest* Asian soup" is excellent and there is much left over, but what do we now do with the half a head of cabbage, 3/4 cup of bean sprouts, and 3/4 package of rice noodles we didn't use?  (The last would keep, I suppose.)

Edited to add: Uh, "Southwest"?  I meant Southeast.  Wouldn't Southwest Asia be the Arabian peninsula?  Not exactly a ( Read more... )

shredded cabbage + bean sprouts + shredded carrots + toasted slivered almonds (or chopped peanuts) + sesame (or any good "asian") salad dressing = tasty "asian" slaw

Or just google "asian slaw recipe" and find one that sounds good.

Bean sprouts are excellent in anything, especially stir frys. Like pad thai.

Cabbage is actually really tasty. You can cut it in quarters and cook it with some kielbasa, shred and sautee it, make coleslaw...
