Well well this is certainly a stumper

I had been noticing some itching around my pubic area the last couple of days. Just dismissed it as general Man itching. No biggie. This morning I awoke and noticed Oh Joy! I have crabs. Now how I got these little buggers is a mystery. Most people have this preset in their minds that they're only sexually transmitted. And although that is ( Read more... )

I had thought about that also. The last guy I tricked with was three weeks ago. And we played around on top of the bed at his hotel. But since it had been three weeks. I ruled out that being the source

Just because you didn't notice them until today, though, doesn't mean that they haven't been there. It's possible that you only got one or two off of the three-weeks-ago guy, but it's taken this long for the population to explode and become noticeable.

The CDC has this to say on it.

Pubic lice are usually spread through sexual contact. Rarely, infestation can be spread through contact with an infested person's bed linens, towels, or clothes. A common misunderstanding is that infestation can be spread by sitting on a toilet seat. This isn't likely, since lice cannot live long away from a warm human body. Also, lice do not have feet designed to walk or hold onto smooth surfaces such as toilet seats.

Back when I got them. I know I got them from a trick I picked up at a popular crusing ground.

I've had a similar experience. I had a friend visit who was VERY popular. He liked to get off while watching the old C-U-C-ME video thing on the computer. He'd been sitting in the big cloth-covered desk chair and evidently left some little friends behind. The other possibility was that he'd left eggs behind which then got on my clothes and then infected me.

that's what's still a mystery is that if I picked up eggs somewhere. Where would I have picked up eggs at. Unless it was on public transit somewhere. The BART trains have cloth seats. or unless it was at the Castro Theatre Monday night off the seats and they got in my clothing and spread from there.

At least they aren't scabies... BLEH. But... most likely it was your playmate 3 weeks ago. Even tho it only takes a handful of days to incubate, it can take weeks for enough to populate enough to notice. I have gotten them from places other than sex (i.e. a friends guest room bed, couch at the bathhouse where I didn't get lucky yada yada), but body contact is usually the culprit. Personally, I'd rather get them from sex, cause at least I got to get off getting the damn things ;)

actually last Saturday night after the big country Western dance downtown. I wound up staying on the couch of a friend who was staying a motel in SOMA. He let me crash on the couch when it got to be late and I missed my ride. I'll bet that's where I picked them up from was that couch
