I have a new job!

I've been looking for some part time work for ages.  I wanted to find something that was flexible and informal, something where I didn't have to attend a gruelling interview and learn loads of new policies and procedures, something where I could relax a bit and not have to be a responsible youth worker.  Well, looks like I've found it.

I onced walked dogs and polished a rich lady's oak dining table for a few houras a week when I lived in the country (well, Suffolk). It only paid £5 an hour but it stopped me ripping out my hair in complete desperate boredom for a couple of months. The old dear was well fussy about her blinkin table though.

yay! it's funny that this sort of thing is normal work for my family and friends in cambridgeshire but when someone in london does it it seems surprising and novel!? sounds great, i'm jealous! x

One of the drawbacks of city life for me, everything is office based and I'm allergic to offices.

thirded-great post, and lovely job. i was a part time gardener a few years back, and it sure as hell cleaned the cobwebs out. and shed destroying is great for pmt. swing back the sledgehammer...

Oh definately. I have this theory that mental activity and physical activity should be balanced up. I think its really unhealthy that most jobs involve doing a lot of thinking and very little moving, I think I work best when I can move around a lot, so I love the idea of doing physical work.
