So much is happening right now I feel like I'm in a whirlwind.  Here's a run down:

Big news first, I got a place on the volunteering exchange in New York, so I'm going to be spending the summer living and working in Manhatten, followed be a couple of weeks of travelling round the States and Canada.  I went to  the interview last

Yes I'd love to hang out with you! I'm going to be travelling there with a group of other volunteers and living with some of them aswell, and hopefully I'll click with some of them, but I'm a bit worried that they'll all be straight and boring, or just pissed up boozy types. I want to make sure that I get to meet some queer people and people who are generally on my wave length whilst I'm there. So yeah thanks for the offer.

Someone Dean worked with's hip hop band are playing on Saturday night at Ladyfest Leeds, she's in a hip hop band called Guardians of the Ancient Wisdom! Is the world ready for a rapping librarian?

Oh cool, I read the name but didn't read the blurb about them. I'm glad that there's going to be something other than screaming girls with guitars, I can only take so much of them. Do you know how long you're going to stay at Ladyfest Leeds yet, I'm thinking of booking my train tickets very soon. I'm thinking of going on Thursday and getting the last train back on Sunday.

try not to stress about the feature, i am kind of in the same boat, but just bear in mind that we can write more stuff further down the line - space restrictions prevent us from doing it all in one go. you could maybe think about dividing your piece into three (or however many) sections and we can do a 'to be continued' thing.
