I stayed with Julia in Leeds, she's lovely isn't she! Unfortunately the reaching out to other music groups didn't happen in Leeds. I think that making links with girls doing hip hop music is especially important because there's a race element in there too. Ladyfest is very white, and will probably remain so as long as it focuses on indie and punk music. My housemate is writing an article about race and Ladyfest right now, so we've been talking about this stuff a lot.

What kind of music are you doing now then? I could mention your name to Ladyfest London organisers if you wanted?

It's definitely an interesting subject, but I don't want to comment about it too much in public...

I didn't know there was going to be another Ladyfest in London. I'm not sure it's for us, because I always feel on the periphery of these things, and I'm getting on a bit, but you can hear our first song here: http://www.myspace.com/doxxie
