I thought perhaps living behind a shadow would serve me well, but I came to see that that simply allowed that shadow to blame me. So I'll step forth, and blame the shadow so the darkness can't blame me.

I haven't done any manipulating of events in a long time, but when you want to see someone happy other than yourself, it only makes sense to tip the scales in their favor if you have the know how and power.
