we dug and planted a garden at the remuda. beans, cucumbers, jerusalem artichokes, from seed. tomatoes, peppers, marigolds (for pest control), from starts. we also planted summer squash but have seen nothing of them. the plot is roughly ten by ten ft and surrounded by a fence we built. this is made of some orange plastic construction netting,

Oh, bermuda grass... That's always the thing... :( Got to keep it
from getting in. If you take a citizen gardener course, then from what I
hear you spent half of your time learning about growing things and the other
half of your time learning how to try to keep out the bermuda grass.
