Last night was the annual Billboard Awards show, of course we taped it and then watched it so we could pause and laugh, scream, bitch, piss, etc. The show opened with Rihanna singing her latest single S & M. We've been jamming to various mixes of the track around our house for months now. Like on the old American Bandstand Rate-A-Record... "it's ( Read more... )

I think the up tight Christians are still too butthurt over not being raptured over the weekend to notice. And it's been acceptable for women to be attracted to each other because it's always been a straight boy fantasy. But with men being attracted to each other...?

Well, between the Rapture and the 68 Tornadoes that ripped through fundyland yesterday, they may be a little indisposed.

Todays international news (all 30 minutes of it) was 100% devoted to: "All disaster, all the time."

I am glad someone said it!!! There was a bit of hubaloo that I read on facebook, but you know what is was all over? Yep, Britney and her lip-synching.

Also I am shocked that parents are not up in arms about it. I love the song, but as you stated it has the words Whips and Chains excite me in the song. There are little 8 year-olds going around singing this song.

I remember when I did some volunteer work at the Eureka Valley Rec Center and "Unfaithful" was the popular Rihanna song. One of the workers had her 6 year old daughter in there and she was singing, "He knows I am unfaithful.." and then "I don't wanna be a murderer" and all I could think is really you want your 6 year old going around singing that she kills people, even if it is just in context of killing a relationship or cheating on someone. It is funny what they will get upset over, but over a song that is ummm like HELLO they just smile and sing along.

Stupid! and again thank you for putting into words exactly how I feel!!!

I'll bet Dick Chaney sang a version of "whips and chains excite me" when he wuz a kid. Hell, he probably still sings it. To Bush. As a sleepy-time song.

I completely agree. Maybe one day things will change for the better and no one will bat an eye at what gays do, unless of course we want them to.
