This scientific journey is about a growing number of patients who want the cannabis plant as a genuine medicine, not to get high.
While I do think that properly exploring things with a scientific mindset is important, and despite this mostly being a rhetorical question, all I can think when I read this is "Who cares?" Why is getting high such a problem to so many people? Why are so many people so horrified at the idea that someone, somewhere, might be enjoying themselves?
My friend is a Make-A-Wish wish granter and she has lots of stories like this. Her latest hurdle was a child who is on the treatment here in Oregon and her wish is going to be fulfilled in California. She can't take her medicine with her on the plane, even though Oregon and CA are on the same page. I believe there is some issue with MM cards being honored state-to-state, too. What an unnecessary mess.

*sigh*
