Oh. I tell my kid gently that although school is out, everyone else still has to work. So she slumps out of my office, only to return ten minutes later, bored and lonely. Seattle people crack me up when they start to bitch about weather in the hiiiigh... *8os*. lol Some PNW friends played in my sprinkler mid-August while I watched from the window.

Yeah, grass is always greener elsewhere, aint it? Been trying to appreciate the grass I am standing on (even if it is crunchy and brown) so thanks for the reminder.

yes it is opposite land over here in the pnw. today will be the first "summer" day we have cracked 70 (hell we barely cracked 60 so far) and we are headed for record temps later this week - maybe even the 80s! I haven't put away all my winter sweaters yet and my new sundress still has the tags on it. But it sure is dang gorgeous when the sun finally shines on all that well-watered landscape. I've got me some thousand shades of green out my office window. Might even get outside and pull up some of the weed-rain-forest that's blocking my pathways.
