Apocalypse. From the greek Ἀποκάλυψις or Apokálypsis; i.e. "lifting of the veil". It is a term applied to the disclosure to certain privileged persons of something hidden from the majority of humankind. Today the term is often used to refer to the end of the world, which may be a shortening of the phrase apokalupsis eschaton which literally means ( Read more... )

Okay good, I'm not alone at being left abbandoned in teh library. I've experienced my own set of very strange happenings, but nothing to this extreme. Though I doubt it's the Apocalypse; before I came here there were no horse men riding around destroying the world.

We must not be from the same place then because, while there were no horsemen per sae, there was disturbing trend in people trying to end the world.

The Apocalypse is just the subject of the notes I was making when things went "poof".

Or rather, not so much "poof"... More like the sound of a million deep crows being fed through a wood chipper.

... Okay. At least you sound intelligent. I'm from a place where there are way too many people ending the world as well, and still I have...

... It's not even important. I'M GETTING READY TO BLAME THIS ON MAKUBEX. What's important is that I find out where I am now and not start to ask who did it.

If you were Gabe, you'd be blaming yeti.

Well, that's certainly a relief.

Where you... Well, where we are is a library. Where the library is, remains to be seen.

Why wouldn't who did it be of interest? Knowing "who" could easily lead to "how".

Mmm, but it is rather brilliant, when you think about it. Best to pull in the unsuspecting...

Oh yes. I totally agree.

One should never abduct somebody who's expecting it.

...Can I punch the books?

daddys_working November 19 2008, 03:41:22 UTC
What would that accomplish exactly?

What wouldn't it accomplish?

I'm afraid that we're going to have to do more talking then punching for the time being. Now I know this isn't your usual tack but I think you can do it. Just pretend, as you're talking, that you're punching... punching with words.

Oh my gosh, that's a relief!

...

WAIT! How are you in this book? Is it like in that movie with the boy who goes to magic school and the bad guy starts talking to him through a book? Do I need to stab this with a snake tooth or something?

What you do with your own book is none of my business.

If it helps at all, I'm reasonably certain I'm not a bad guy. Well, I suppose it depends on your point of view. From my perspective, you are in my book.
