Last night I was kept awake until 5AM by a show about the creepy connections between the FDA, food manufacturers and drug companies. Essentially, medications and medicine companies make everything a disease in order to make money. They want to keep everyone sick when really there are natural cures to many ailments, or "diseases", but natural ( Read more... )

All-natural and/or organic foods will not have those additives. Basically, what you see on the label is exactly what you get. I'm a manager at a natural foods store, so I'm pretty knowledgable on this stuff. I don't eat much dairy, but if I do, I only do organic. I can now taste the difference. Non-organic milk tastes like chemicals to me. It's really best to eat this way. I also believe in cutting back wheat consumption. Wheat is an extremely modified grain. Most people have an allergy/intolerance, even if they don't realize it. Look for alternatives like spelt/kamut/rice/quinoa. Quinoa is a really good grain and it's high protein compared to other grains.

BTW, all-natural means that there are no chemical additives. Everything in it is completely natural. It might even be uncertified organic. Some companies are organic, but not certified as such because it's expensive to do so. Organic is when it's been grown without any chemicals/pesticides/etc.

Let me know if you have any more or specific questions.

I'm a vegan and I have never felt so good. Plant-based foods are so much better for you, especially without all the addatives and things that a lot of foods can get... I wish I ate all organic foods, but I'm glad I'm vegan... <3.

In my opinion, organic foods are the best. They are free of additives and you can see and taste the difference. The reason i drink and eat soy products is because it's a very good source of protein. Now of course, EVERY food has it's place but i am a picky motherfucker (thanks to orthorexia) and prefer to only buy organic foods from whole foods and trader joes. It costs more but it's worth it. My best advice to you is to check out and try products at these healthy stores you are going into - For me, i feel so much better when i eat this way. I have a balanced diet mixed with fruit, dairy, protein, carbs, fat and veggies at every meal in proper propertion sizes. You know you can always email me with any questions or if you need recommendations!

XoXo Here's to good health!!!
