Know what I don't like reading that much, racist as it sounds, is ethnic or foreign poetry. Not that I dislike poetry BY minorities or those from other countries, but poems solely ABOUT that very thing. And I probably wouldn't enjoy a poem about being white in a suburb either. Yesterday, a bird flew in the house and hid under my bed and behind my dresser until Jimmy pushed him out with a tape measure. I was scared and ran from room to room slamming doors and screaming as the creature flapped around like a spastic bat. In the kitchen, we hung up a wine rack and are putting up two more tonight. We also hung a contraption for pots and pans from the ceiling. Everyone, but us, tends to hit their heads on it so that keeps them out of the kitchen!
