Do you plan on having a New Year's Resolution? If so, what is it and why did you feel the need to have one? If not, why not?

No. People set themselves up for disappointment when they make a big deal like "oh my god, I have to change! It's a new year!" Therefore, I think new years resolutions are really stupid, so I don't do them. But I'm all for changing in the middle of the year if I feel the need to.

yea, that's a really good point. Most people succeed in that setup of disappointment, i guess a resolution is just a push towards a wanted goal (realistic or not), but people should have that strive anyways.

i think new years resolutions are good for people if they set an attainable goal. I personally like to set goals for myself when i feel like i need to change something in my life, and that usually doesn't coincide with the new year, but i think for some people it gives them that extra push to change something they've wanted to for a long time, but needed a "fresh" start so to say, even if it's only a fresh start because we think it's one.

I think New Years Resolutions are ok but only if it's something that you really want to do. I had a new years resolution to practice piano more last year, and I did it. I didn't do it as much as I would have liked to, but I did it nonetheless. I have the same resolution this year. I don't really feel the need to have a new years resolution, I just have one.

I'm down for a movie marathon but since we live in the same house, even if I weren't down for it, it'd be kind of hard to avoid it.

P.S. Mom found The Muppet Show Season One. We could watch the episode hosted by your idol, Ben Vereen at some point!
