Of course, I will give my own opinion here so my vote:

Newman

Stewart

Tough one, Gary Oldman is great and I'm sure many of you know him just as Sirius Black, but I think I have to give it to DiCaprio

Daniel Day Lewis is amazing

Sean Penn

Denzel Washington

Guy Pearce, although I do love Jeff Daniels

Paul Newman. Jackson is rockin', but Newman is pure class.

Jimmy Stewart. Baldwin is great, but way out of Stewart's league.

Gary Oldman. DiCaprio is amazing when casted in the right role, but Oldman is one of the most skilled, chameleon-ic actors I've ever seen. The man can do just about anything.

Daniel Day-Lewis. Hurt is of course a badass class actor, but Day-Lewis gets points for his ability to...absorb himself into roles like no other.

Christopher Walken. That was tough, but Walken has had more chances to shine (i.e. many of his older films).

Denzel Washington. Once Billy Bob stops getting type casted things might change, but Denzel's got it, and he's got it good.

Guy Pearce. I'd say they're both about even, but Pearce is up a millimeter of a notch in my opinion.

Kevin Spacey. Very tough, and I'm not sure I'm even able to explain this one. But Spacey comes out on top for me.
